So Dato' Ahmad Ismail made certain remarks during the Permatang Pauh by election. Maybe some of his words were too close to the truth. And maybe because of that it hurts. Now it would be good to remember that there has been instances before this of party members from other component parties in the BN making racial statements touching on the Malays. But UMNO has always been magnanimous.
I have personally encountered on numerous occasions chinese citizens of this country who can hardly speak the national langguage. They really are not difficult to find. It is ridiculous that after 51 years of independence they neither can speak nor understand the National Language. So I can't imagine them singing the National Anthem.
Najib and even Pak Lah has appologised for Ahmad Ismail. Maybe its best for MCA and Gerakan to take it at that. There certainly is no need for hightening tensions, at this time, among the races in this country. MCA and Gerakan seems to be metamorphosing into the DAP.
